Job Purpose:

To contribute to the growth in volume & earnings of Bank’s Corporate Banking business and ensuring a healthy Corporate Banking portfolio.

Key Tasks and Duties:

  • Develop and nurture relationships with assigned portfolio of corporate relationships in an relationship manager role to the client fostering responsible banking.
  • Seek to grow the business volume & earnings while maximizing customer satisfaction
  • Handle relationships independently through regular meetings with clients and establish their current and future financial needs to maximize client satisfaction
  • Recommend the products and services that will prove profitable for both the Bank and the client.
  • Develop and conduct relationships in line with the agreed account strategy of the respective relationship.
  • Work on Strategic Sector objectives of the Unit and/or PF& Syndication team to identify and onboard new to bank relationships / grow existing relationships.
  • Prepare pitch decks for presentation of origination and syndication ideas
  • Contribute significantly in closure of transactions from internal credit committee and documentation through either bilateral documents of the bank and syndicated transactions through LMA led external lawyers.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of credit proposals to management.
  • Cross-sell the Bank’s products including cash management, treasury, investment, liabilities and retail to corporate clients
  • Achieve optimum volumes & earnings from the portfolio being handled
  • Increase the market penetration by finding new leads and adding new accounts
  • Seek to develop and maintain a healthy portfolio

Qualifications

A first degree in Finance or Banking or a similar subject is essential.

Experience

At least 3-5 years in banking with good experience of the commercial challenges faced in Corporate and how Corporate banking and services can help. A good record in developing sales opportunities is desirable.
