ob Title: SCADA System Administrator and Network Specialist

Qualification: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Type of contract: One Year Extendable

Job Purpose:

The SCADA System Administrator & Network Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, ensuring reliable operation, data integrity, and network security. This role involves configuring SCADA applications, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring seamless communication between industrial control systems and enterprise networks.

SCADA System Administrator: –

  • Mainly focus on maintaining SCADA Hardware (Servers, Workstations, Switches and Firewalls), Maintaining VMs.
  • Administering SCADA Active Directory and Managing Users Accounts

The detailed scope is as follows:

  • Install, configure, and Manage software and hardware based on requisition in addition network infrastructure, servers, virtualization, storage and technology tools
  • Set up and manage Active directory accounts and workstations for SCADA systems
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages to ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Answering requests for service fixes and tickets for problems
  • Updating status reports on problems and recording solutions
  • Monitoring environmental factors like temperature and humidity in all the SCADA Telecom server room
  • Planning software updates, changes, and roll-outs.
  • Troubleshooting bugs, network connections, and problems with technology
  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
  • Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems
  • Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
  • Create, manage and verify backups of data

 

  • SCADA Network Specialist:
  • Managing and Maintaining OETC SCADA network and Security Infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the new Network and Security project design, implementation, and management.
  • Responsible for assessing the existing network and Security infrastructure and propose the solution for the improvement and security hardening.
  • Responsible for Hardening of network and security devices and make sure all devices are running with suggested configuration and firmware.
  • Preparation for Risk assessment and Change Management document of any network and Security infrastructure change.
  • Responsible for document the network diagram and configuration backup.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving end user core level network issues in OETC SCADA network..
  • Responsible for the below Network and security solution.
  • Should have required expertise with CISCO and PaloAlto Firewalls and Switches
  • Integrate SCADA Network with Nozomi CS solution (NIDS, Smart polling, etc)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in SCADA system administration, industrial networks, or IT security.
  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in SCADA platforms (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, GE iFIX, Siemens WinCC, ABB).
  • Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, DNP3, IEC 61850).
  • Experience with network administration (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper) and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and database management (SQL, Oracle).
  • Scripting and automation knowledge (PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
