Role Purpose:

Develop and manage the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) plans across Omantel’s sites in compliance with Omani and international regulations. Ensure a culture of safety and provide a safe working environment by minimizing risks and reinforcing HSE compliance. Lead initiatives to monitor, assess, and improve safety procedures to protect employees and reduce incidents.

Key Accountabilities

  • Recommend and monitor the HSE budget to ensure effective financial planning and resource utilization.
  • Conduct periodic site visits and audits to ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in HSE processes and systems, applying international best practices.
  • Initiate and conduct HSE campaigns, training sessions, and emergency drills to promote safety awareness.
  • Ensure the alignment of the HSE strategy with business objectives and contribute to the formulation of health and safety goals.
  • Lead incident investigations to identify root causes and develop recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Support the development of HSE KPIs and provide leadership for effective implementation of safety strategies.
  • Plan and manage HSE activities, including hazard assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Develop and manage the implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external regulatory bodies to maintain HSE standards and ensure compliance.
