Job Objective:
The AWS Cloud Architect will design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. This role requires a combination of strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills to drive the successful adoption and integration of AWS cloud technologies within the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cloud Strategy Development: Define and develop the cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Innovation and Optimization: Drive continuous improvement and innovation in cloud architecture, leveraging new AWS services and technologies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Cloud Governance: Establish cloud governance frameworks and best practices to ensure compliance, security, and efficient cloud utilization.
- Roadmap Planning: Develop and maintain the cloud architecture roadmap, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Architectural Design: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures on AWS, including compute, storage, network, and security services.
- Solution Development: Lead the development of cloud solutions, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and security requirements.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement IaC using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar to automate infrastructure deployment and management.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, implementing necessary controls and monitoring.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency, identifying and resolving any performance bottlenecks.
- Migration Planning: Plan and execute the migration of existing on-premises applications and systems to the AWS cloud.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and implement disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for cloud infrastructure issues, working closely with support teams.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, designs, and processes.
- Provide operational guidance on designed architecture models, leveraging on Managed services and/or Native AWS
- Establish, maintain, and improve operational support templates
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and developers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Training and Development: Identify skill gaps and provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their AWS expertise.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, security, and application development teams, to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions.
- Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of cloud initiatives and their impact.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with AWS and other third-party vendors, ensuring the organization leverages the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
- Project Management: Oversee cloud-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews for team members, providing constructive feedback and setting development goals.
- Recruitment: Participate in the recruitment process to attract and hire top talent for the cloud team.
- Culture Building: Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the cloud team.
Job Requirments:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar certifications.
- At least 5 years of Extensive experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS, with a deep understanding of AWS services and architecture best practices.
- Strong technical skills in AWS cloud technologies, IaC, security best practices, and performance optimization. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing complex cloud environments using OCI and AWS services.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively across functional areas.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
