About the Business:
International Seafood Company is a subsidiary of Fisheries Development Oman. The company is planning to set up Sardine & Tuna cannery project with ancillary plant and related facilities in Duqm with ultimate processing inflow capacity of around 30KT/Year of Sardine and Tuna as well as Fishmeal and fish oil.
Job Objective:
To oversee the quality assurance processes, ensuring product quality standards are met, and improving quality systems across the organization
Key Responsibilities:
QUALITY
Direct and supervise the development, implementation, and administration of QA activities in all phases of production at factory level (ISFC Quality Systems).
Drive improvements and monitor Quality Metrics/KPI’s at the facility.
Promote quality awareness and ownership across value chain.
Monitor and assess performance of the quality systems, report its effectiveness to management and implement actions for improvement.
Ensure compliance of the audit programs for internal and external audits i.e. ISO , GHP, HACCP.
Ensure the effective operation of HACCP and Food Safety Teams
Drive Hygiene and NGMP programs across the whole factory and internal warehouse.
Manage QA related projects from inception to final reports and implementation that are based inside and outside the resources of the Dept on a factory-wide basis.

In close cooperation with Corporate Quality liaise with Consumer Services, Marketing and Brand Manager by investigating and communicating consumer complaint trends and resolutions.
Supervise the effectiveness of chemical analysis, physical testing, and performance evaluation done at PTM.
Operational:
Develops, Know, and understand ISFC Enterprise Excellence Program and the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Participate in the establishment of quality specification and standards for raw materials, in process and finished products.
Confer with management, customers and other representative in planning, scheduling, and coordinating the quality plans in conformance with customer requirements, food specifications and production schedules.
Assist in the development of inspection and sampling techniques, quality control plans or process control procedures that will ensure the production of finished products which met quality specifications and standards.
Supervise and perform inspection and testing of raw materials, processes and finished products.
Documents and reports issues discovered during testing, and reports issues to Management
Commit to ensuring that products produced meet all food safety and quality requirements
Lead the Food Safety and HACCP team at respective site.
Controls all aspect of the HACCP program in place at PTM.
Supervisory:
Ensure that managers and staff participate in training activities to stay current with regulatory and industry requirements.
Drive Monthly reviews of KPI’s and contribute towards meeting the yearly business Goals for the Facility.
REGULATORY:
Communication of new and/or updated Regulatory Policies within the facility.
Support to local, and other agencies when requested by Divisional QA.
People:
Promote good communication skills and communicate effectively to others.
Supervise the activities of department personnel, with strong emphasis on people development.
Policies, Systems, Procedures & Processes:
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Human Resources:
Communicates the company quality policy and values, motivating and sensitizing employees to the critical nature of our service.
Involved in the hiring, retention, motivation and development of qualified personnel in QA/Validations positions, if applicable.
Assists with new employee orientation, job function, GMP, safety and developmental training to employees as required by Standard Operating Procedures, Certification programs, corporate requirements and customer service initiatives.
Reporting:
Ensure that all sectional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet ISFC’s requirements, policies, and standards.
Related Assignments:
Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in food science, or Chemical Engineering., or field related to the products being developed required.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 10 years in quality control, manufacturing, and inspection.
Experience with ISO9001 Standards
